Profile
Rachel relocated to Kamloops in 2013 as a member of TRU Law’s third-ever graduating class and has proudly called the city home ever since. After articling at the B.C. Lottery Corporation, she joined a boutique civil litigation firm in 2017, where she immediately built a robust trial practice.
With successful appearances in the Provincial Court, Supreme Court, and the Court of Appeal, Rachel brings a formidable litigation background to Paul & Company. Her expertise in the courtroom also extends to the classroom; she returns to her alma mater, TRU Law, as a sessional instructor teaching Civil Procedure. She now applies these high-level advocacy and instructional skills to assist clients navigating complex family law matters.
Rachel’s approach is informed by a diverse professional history. Before law, she earned a degree in Criminology from SFU and gained invaluable perspective working in the Fort McMurray oil fields and the Toronto music industry. These experiences instilled a deep understanding of the “human condition” and a tireless work ethic she uses to advance her clients’ interests every day.
Outside the office, Rachel is deeply rooted in the community. She has served on several boards, including the Children’s Circle Daycare and People in Motion. When she isn’t at the rink or a field with her two busy children, she is active with the Kamloops Highland Games and remains a member of the CBA BC and the Trial Lawyers Association of BC.
